Laura Wendorf brings decades of real-world experience in technical training, business systems, and website development to clients of Surf’s Up Computing.
She began her career in 1988, initially studying manufacturing engineering with a focus on computer numerical control (CNC), before earning her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Science and later pursuing a Master’s in Business.
Laura went on to lead and develop technology training programs at Florida Metropolitan University (also known as Orlando College), where she managed teams of instructors and served as Department Head of Computer Information Sciences and Computer Applications for five years. In this role, she specialized in translating complex technical concepts into practical, easy-to-understand solutions—an approach she continues to use with her clients today.
In 2001, Laura founded CompuAssistant, where she works directly with business owners to develop websites, provide technical training, and support the tools they rely on every day. Her unique combination of technical expertise and business insight allows her to not only build solutions—but to ensure clients understand how to use them effectively.
For Surf’s Up Computing clients, this means having access to a trusted resource who can simplify technology, improve efficiency, and help their business work smarter, not harder
